Section E

This 1:50 section is taken through the first room of the gallery. It will be the first and last thing patrons of the gallery will see and will at most points in time will be the most used part of the gallery. As is evident the glass box motif is extended to the ground as to create a partition between entrance and exit. Behind this partition the gallery owner may also sit during the day and can easily keep a mind as to who is entering and leaving the gallery. The room is the entire height of the gallery as to house two of Chuck Close's larger paintings. these painting will be hung on the wall above the entrance so that they can be observed from the vintage point to the right of the exit stairs on the first floor. Allowing people to examine the Chuck Close paintings from a reasonable distance and to create a nice image when exiting the gallery. As is evident in the section the exit stairs run down behind the parition and the gallery reception.
